The museum covering 1.5 acres consists of three original relocated buildings and an original in situ streetscape.
Established in 1962, the museum is home to one of the finest collections of Australiana in the country. Key collections consist of farm and mining equipment, horse drawn vehicles, Aboriginal and geology artefacts, textiles, printing equipment, photographs and much more.
Allow a few hours to visit the museum as the collections are extensive.

Housed in what was once a Salvation Army Hall the Henry Lawson Centre is dedicated to Lawson’s life and literary works. Inside you will find a display of photos, paintings, prints, first edition books, manuscripts and much more.
Located on the Red Hill Mining Precinct where gold was first discovered. Wander through the replica mine shaft, look down into the original mine via the poppet head and learn how to pan for gold.
