When visiting Gulgong make sure you have plenty of time as the town is packed with wonderful shops where you can pick up that perfect gift. There is a great selection of cafes, pubs, clubs and restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat and your preferred beverage. 

Did someone say museums? Yes Gulgong has several excellent museums. Visit the Gulgong Holtermann Museum, the Henry Lawson Heritage Centre and the Gulgong Pioneers Museum. Once you have done all that you are going to need a nights rest, so why not stay at one of the hotels, motels, caravan park or park your caravan at the showground. Gulgong is an RV friendly town.

While still in town be sure to make your way to Red Hill and visit the Gulgong Gold Experience. 

Pick up a Gulgong Walk book for just $2 which will give you lots of interesting information on the town and it’s beautiful buildings. This is also a great memento to take home.

Have the children with you? In the warmer months take them for a dip in the Olympic size pool and let them use up some energy at the fantastic adventure playgound next door (open all year). 

Head out for a drive past Ulan and walk along the Goulburn River to the Drip. Once there you will find a cool oasis where the water drips through the porous rock wall into the pool below. A wonderful place for a refreshing swim.

Make sure before you leave that you head up to Flirtation Hill where you will get a fantastic view of the surrounding farmland.
