EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI), INVITATION TO TENDER
Provision of Gulgong Community Bus Service as part of the Gulgong Liquor Accord Plan B (Night Rider Service)

The Gulgong Chamber of Commerce is seeking the services of a bus operator to provide a community bus service to operate:

  • Thursday evening 5.30pm to 10.30pm
  • Friday evening 6.00pm to Saturday morning 1.00am
  • Saturday evening 6.00pm to Sunday Morning 1.00am and
  • Other times as requested, including some public holidays.

The Night Rider Service is a local community bus service to enable patrons to go to and from Gulgong shops, dining venues and licenced venues.  It is an exemplar service supported by the NSW Police, Gulgong Liquor Accord, and the Gulgong Chamber of Commerce. The Night Rider started running in 2009 when the Roads and Maritime Service, now Transport for NSW, worked with the Gulgong Liquor Accord to provide a transport option for people who lived in a town that otherwise has no public transport option available and needed a way home while intoxicated. Over time the bus has become far more than just a “booze bus” and is now an integral part of getting around Gulgong.

Questions are to be directed to Mrs Rebecca Woods, Chairman, Gulgong Chamber of Commerce Community Bus Management Committee (CBMC)
